Feels Like Home Festival Finds Its Groove — Soundskilz Proud to Lead the Way

After returning for its second year on October 4, 2025, the Feels Like Home Festival in Brownwood delivered another unforgettable day of country music, mouthwatering BBQ, and community warmth. With crowds flocking to Brownwood and energy lasting from noon through the night, this festival is solidifying itself as a Texas fall favorite. Soundskilz was honored to helm the event—from logistics and production to digital strategy, branding, artist relations, and everything in between.

🎤 Music, Talent & Texas Spirit

The 2025 lineup brought together beloved Texas names and rising stars, including Randy Rogers Band, Pat Green, Josh Abbott Band, Stoney LaRue, Bottomland, Graham St. Clair Band, Joe Peters, and more. Local acts and “Local Spotlight” performances added depth and community flavor to the stages.

Media outlets recognized the festival’s impact, noting that CultureMap Austin called it “a strong alternative for Texas country fans looking for something closer to home than ACL.” Brownwood News also covered the Downtown Preview Night, which stretched the event across the weekend and drove foot traffic into local shops and restaurants.

Soundskilz managed all artist coordination, stage production, and set logistics—ensuring high-quality performances, smooth transitions, and well-supported talent throughout the day.

🍖 BBQ, Local Flavors & Pitmaster Showcases

As always, barbecue took center stage alongside the music. Festivalgoers sampled a curated lineup of pitmasters offering brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and more. With vendor placements designed for flow and access, attendees were able to move between food and stages easily. Back-of-house coordination handled by Soundskilz ensured health permits, waste services, and booth setups were streamlined and secure.

⚙️ Event Logistics & Operational Excellence

Soundskilz handled the full spectrum of on-site logistics, including:

  • Festival grounds layout, including stages, food, drink, merch, and shade
  • Load-in/load-out scheduling, fencing, power, and restroom placement
  • Security and crowd flow coordination in partnership with local officials
  • Vendor placement, water refill stations, and customer service booths

The festival’s operations ran smoothly, with positive feedback from both attendees and vendors about the ease of access, comfort, and guest amenities.

💻 Web, Branding & Marketing Reach

In addition to event-day production, Soundskilz provided full digital and marketing services, including:

  • Festival website development with lineup, parking info, ticketing, and FAQs
  • Festival logo, poster artwork, and social media design assets
  • Organic and paid social media campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, and more
  • PR outreach that secured regional media coverage and boosted attendance

The branding remained consistent from digital screens to event signage, helping build strong recall and visibility before and during the festival.

📈 A Growing Festival with Big Impact

Attendance was strong, vendor response was positive, and media sentiment reflected excitement and optimism about the event’s future. The synergy between the festival and downtown Brownwood helped drive real community impact—not just entertainment value, but economic activity, civic pride, and visibility for local businesses.

Soundskilz is proud to have led this effort and is already gearing up for an even bigger and better Feels Like Home Festival in 2026.

Thank you to the City of Brownwood, the fans, the artists, the vendors—and everyone who made it feel like home.
